Over the last 2.5 years, I’ve been studying feline anatomy on my Patreon—bone by bone, muscle by muscle. I’m happy to announce that I finally reached the end of the study! For my final assignment, I’ve created a series of feline anatomy diagrams—a mini anatomy atlas, designed specifically for artists. This set contains:
- Glossary of crucial Latin terms, that will allow you to understand the muscle names
- Skeleton with no labels
- Skeleton with labeled bones
- Skeleton with labeled landmarks in the bones (to help you see where each muscle is attached)
- Skeleton with soft tissues and minor bones that are often missing in anatomy diagrams
- Four separate layers showing the torso muscles (all labeled)
- Four separate layers showing the limb muscles (all labeled)
- Superficial body elements, like blood vessels, glands, and skin muscles
- Unlabeled “classic” anatomy diagram showing the full body
Each page shows the body in multiple views:
- Full body side view
- Full body 3/4 view from the front
- Full body 3/4 view from the back
- Side view of the inner side of each limb
- Side view of the head with mouth open in a relaxed position
- 3/4 view of the head with the mouth wide open
- Top view of the head
- 3/4 view of the hips, from the back, with tail raised
These diagrams (18 pages total) are available in two forms: a handy PDF, and a folder with images that can be easily uploaded to your reference app/window. Every bone and muscles (well, almost all of them) has a post dedicated to it. The labels on the diagrams will link you directly to the relevant post, so that you can learn more about each element. Disclaimer: you have to be my current active patron for this to work!
You can find these diagrams in my freshly opened Patreon shop. If you catch this announcement early, here’s your reward: a discount code for $5, available for the first week: FIRSTDAY25.
